Your first recording
This walkthrough takes you from launch to your first edited clip.
- 1Open Rackast.
- 2Choose a recording mode: full screen, a single window, or a selected area.
- 3Optionally enable webcam, microphone, and system audio.
- 4Set your frame rate and, if you like, turn on the 3-second countdown.
- 5Start recording — Rackast captures your screen and records your cursor as mouse telemetry.
- 6Press stop when you're done. Rackast opens the editor.
- 7In the editor, Rackast has already generated automatic zooms from your clicks and re-drawn your cursor smoothly.
- 8Refine, then export.
What happens next
The editor opens with your recording, automatic zooms, and a smooth cursor ready to refine.
