Rackast, Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 July 2026

1. The Provider and the Merchant of Record

These Terms govern the use of the Rackast website (rackast.com) and the Rackast desktop software. The software and related product support are provided by Szegi Roland Attila E.V. (the "Provider"). The purchase of a Rackast Pro subscription and all payments are processed by Polar Software, Inc. ("Polar") acting as Merchant of Record and authorized reseller. You purchase the product from Polar, while the right to use the software is licensed to you by the Provider under the End User License Agreement (EULA). Payments are also subject to the Polar Buyer Terms and Conditions.

2. Subject of the contract

Rackast is a screen recorder and video editor for Windows 10 and 11 (automatic zoom, cursor smoothing, webcam bubble, background styling, local AI captions, timeline editing, MP4 export). The service is subscription based (Rackast Pro), with no free tier and no trial.

3. Prices and payment

Rackast Pro Monthly: 19.99 USD per month. Rackast Pro Yearly: 95.88 USD per year (equivalent to 7.99 USD per month, billed yearly). Fees are collected by Polar, and Polar is responsible for charging, collecting and remitting all applicable international VAT and sales taxes. Invoices and receipts are issued and delivered electronically by Polar.

4. Formation of the contract

The contract is formed when you complete checkout on the Polar hosted checkout page by clicking "Subscribe" or "Purchase" and payment is successful. Polar sends an order confirmation containing your license key and the essential contract details.

5. License and activation

Your subscription provides a license key allowing 2 device activations. You may deactivate devices yourself in the Polar customer portal. License terms are detailed in the EULA.

6. Renewal and cancellation

The subscription renews automatically for the selected period until cancelled. You may cancel anytime in the Polar customer portal or at support@polar.sh; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees for elapsed periods are non refundable to the extent permitted by law.

7. Right of withdrawal and refunds

The consumer right of withdrawal and the digital content exception are detailed in the separate Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

8. Product support

Technical support for the software is provided by the Provider at hello@dropsite.hu. First tier support for payments, invoicing, refunds and cancellations is provided by Polar.

9. Liability

The Provider limits its liability to the extent permitted by law; mandatory non waivable consumer rights are not limited. Details are set out in the EULA.

10. Complaints and dispute resolution

For complaints, first contact the Provider (hello@dropsite.hu) or Polar (support@polar.sh). For consumer disputes you may contact a conciliation body: Hajdu-Bihar County Conciliation Board (from 1 January 2024 also acting in Jasz-Nagykun-Szolnok county cases), 4025 Debrecen, Petofi ter 10, Hungary, email bekelteto@hbkik.hu. You may also choose the conciliation board of your own residence in Hungary. The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025.

11. Changes and governing law

The Provider may amend these Terms; amendments apply prospectively from publication. Hungarian law applies, consistent with the Polar Buyer Terms, provided that Polar's terms govern the payment service and the Provider's EULA governs the software license.
